Seven people were reportedly killed in a fire that broke out at a private hospital in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu. More than 100 patients are trapped in the hospital and efforts are being made to rescue them. This hospital has four floors. A fire broke out in the hospital, causing panic throughout the region. More than 50 ambulances, including private ambulances, have been called to shift patients to other hospitals.
Fire brigade and police personnel are continuing their rescue efforts. As of press time, rescue workers engaged in disaster relief work were busy evacuating patients from four floors of the hospital. Many parts of the hospital were severely damaged by the fire.
On-site rescue work is in progress
The fire department stated that after receiving information about the fire, staff immediately rushed to the scene to carry out rescue work. However, rescue operations faced difficulties due to the thick smoke billowing inside the hospital and the severity of the fire. Special ambulances have been arranged to rescue patients trapped in the hospital. More than 50 ambulances and private ambulances are also involved so that patients can be shifted to other hospitals immediately.

Considering the seriousness of the incident, local police and fire officials took quick action. Police said they were currently determining the death toll and the cause of the incident. Officials also said that all possible help is being provided for disaster relief efforts and that an investigation into the cause of the fire has begun. After a fire broke out in a hospital, panic spread among patients and their families.
