Sarainayat police station in Prayagraj has registered an FIR against SP candidate Mujtaba Siddiqui under the SC-ST Act. BSP Congress chief Rajkumar Gautam lodged a complaint against the SP leader and the police have registered a case against him.
In fact, Samajwadi Party candidate Mujtaba Siddiqui recently said in an interview on a private channel that LSP candidates only want to contest elections here based on caste-based voters. The People’s Socialist Party also wants to win the votes of this class. Many clips of his interviews went viral on social media, after which Congress Speaker Rajkumar Gautam of the Socialist Party of the Philippines filed a case against him.
SP candidate clarifies on statement
The Socialist candidate clarified his remarks and apologized, saying his intention was not to hurt anyone’s feelings. He also said that he himself has been working in BSP for a long time. People themselves used to write articles respecting their caste and if anyone feels bad about that then I apologize for that.
Meanwhile, the honor of the two senior leaders will be at stake in the by-election to be held in Phulpur seat as it will be Keshav vs Inderjit. The BJP has appointed deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya in charge of the seat, while the Samajwadi Party has handed over the charge of Phulpur to the state general secretary and former minister. Therefore, this seat along with two big leaders of UP has become an issue of concern for the candidates.
By-elections will be held in these seats in UP
The by-elections will be held in nine assembly seats in UP: Katehri, Karhal, Meerapur, Ghaziabad, Majhwan, Sisamau, Khair, Phulpur and Kundarki. Voting for these seats will be held on November 13 and the results will be announced on November 23.
