Telangana police achieved great success. On Wednesday, the police arrested a female Naxalite and offered a reward of Rs 10 million. The woman named Sujata was involved in many major incidents in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. Officials said the woman, a Naxalite, was arrested while she was traveling to Mehbooba Nagar in Telangana for medical treatment.
31 Naxalites killed in Chhattisgarh
On October 4, 31 Naxalites were killed by security personnel in a clash in Bastar, Chhattisgarh. A senior police officer said the encounter took place in the forest between Tulatuli and Nidul villages in Abujmed on the Narayanpur-Dantewada inter-district border. District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Special Task Force (STF) personnel were involved in the operation.
So far this year, 185 Naxalites have been killed by security forces in different encounters in Bastar district. The district includes seven districts including Dantewada and Narayanpur.
