Female Naxalite carrying reward of Rs 13 lakh surrenders in Chhattisgarh

A female Naxalite surrendered on Saturday in Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh. There was a total reward of Rs 13 lakh on him in three states. The Naxalite has been identified as Hidme Kovasi alias Ranita (22). She was active as a member of MMC Zonal Committee. She was also a member of the Tanda/Malajkhand area committee of Gondia-Rajnandgaon-Balaghat division of the banned organization Communist Party of India (Maoist).

A police officer said that there was a reward of Rs 5 lakh each in Chhattisgarh-Maharashtra and Rs 3 lakh in Madhya Pradesh on female Naxalite Hidme Kovasi. She was involved in 19 incidents of Maoist violence in Balaghat of Madhya Pradesh and 3 violent incidents in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district of Chhattisgarh. He laid down his arms expressing disappointment with the atrocities committed by senior Naxalites and the inhuman and hollow Maoist ideology.

He told that under the rehabilitation policy of the state government, he will be given financial assistance of Rs 25 thousand and other facilities.

Female Naxalite carrying reward of Rs 8 lakh surrenders in Maharashtra

Along with this, a female Naxalite surrendered before the police and CRPF on Saturday in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra. He was accused of murder and attacking security forces. There was a reward of Rs 8 lakh on his head. She has been identified as Reena Narote alias Lalita, who was the commander of ‘Taylor Team’. Was responsible for logistics in the entire Gadchiroli division of CPI (Maoist).

According to the police, the name of this 36-year-old female Naxalite resident of Gadchiroli is involved in a case of murder and attack on security personnel. Maharashtra government had announced a reward of Rs 8 lakh for his capture. The security forces were looking for him for a long time. Meanwhile, he has surrendered before the officials of Maharashtra Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

Under the Central and State policies, Rs 5.5 lakh is given for the rehabilitation of surrendered Naxalites, which will also be given to Reena Narote alias Lalita. As a result of intensifying anti-Naxal operations in Gadchiroli district and providing an opportunity to the Naxalites to surrender and lead a dignified life by the state government, 23 Naxalites have surrendered before the police in 2 years.
