Female flying officer accuses wing commander of rape, Air Force begins investigation

The Indian Air Force has ordered an internal investigation after a woman flying officer accused a Wing Commander of rape, mental harassment and stalking. The incident took place at an Air Force station in Jammu and Kashmir.

Jammu and Kashmir Police has registered an FIR against the Wing Commander of the Air Force station on the complaint of the woman flying officer. The case has been registered at Budgam Police Station under Section 376 (2) of the Indian Penal Code. This section is for those who hold a high position.

The woman officer has accused the Wing Commander of sexual harassment and mental harassment. The incident took place on December 31, 2023 during the New Year party at the Officers’ Mess, when the Wing Commander allegedly sexually assaulted the woman officer in his room.
