Father engineer, mother teacher.. now doctor son topped NEET PG exam, know about AIR-1 Vaibhav Garg

Dr Vaibhav Garg has secured All India Rank 1 in NEET PG Exam 2024. He has completed MBBS from GMCH, Sector-32, Chandigarh. His father Sanjeev Garg is an Assistant Executive Engineer in HPGCL, Panchkula and mother Manju Garg is a teacher at DAV School Surajpur.

Earlier in 2018, he had secured AIR 69 in NEET UG. He gave all the credit for this achievement to his professors, family and various online and offline platforms that came in handy when needed. He also spoke about the paper leak controversy due to which the PG NEET exam was postponed from June to August. Now he has expressed his desire to work in the field of medicine in Delhi. Dr Vaibhav said that when my maternal uncle passed away during Covid, he had decided that he would specialize in the field of medicine.

It is worth noting that the result of NEET PG 2024 has been declared just two days ago. Candidates who have qualified the exam are eagerly waiting for NEET PG 2024 counseling. Along with the NEET PG result, the board has also released the cut-off marks for various categories. Those who have scored equal to or more than the released cut-off marks can apply for counseling. The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) and the respective state counseling authorities will conduct NEET PG counseling for postgraduate medical admission. The schedule for All India Quota (AIQ) NEET PG counseling will be released soon on mcc.nic.in. The NEET PG result has been evaluated on the basis of normalization method.

General-PwBD: 45th percentile

SC/ST/OBC (including PwBD of SC/ST/OBC): 40th percentile

The exam was delayed due to technical issues

Let us tell you that this year the NEET PG exam was held at 416 examination centers in 170 cities across the country, in which more than 2 lakh candidates appeared. Out of 1,14,276 candidates registered in the first shift, 1,07,959 students appeared in the examination. Out of these, 6,317 PG candidates did not appear in the examination. NBEMS also said that due to technical reasons in the first shift, there was a maximum delay of one hour 45 minutes at two centers and less than 30 minutes at three centers.
