But now, a big scam in the name of Enforcement Directorate (ED) is also at large in Delhi. In fact, a team of fake ED officials raided the residence of a businessman in an upscale area of ​​Delhi and tried to defraud him of crores of rupees, but the victim’s lawyer reached the bank on time and thwarted the goons’ plot.
What happened is that at around 12 noon on October 22, the Delhi regional office of the Ministry of Education received information that someone pretended to be an official of the Ministry of Education and conducted a false search on Ashoka Avenue, DLF Farm, Chhatarpur, Delhi. It was also learned that the fake emergency room official had taken the victim to Kotak Bank in Hauz Khas to withdraw Rs 5 crore from the victim’s bank account. This is all done in the name of ED raids.
After receiving the information, the emergency department immediately contacted Kotak Manindra Bank in Hauz Khas. The information was also sent to the police station in the area and senior police officers were informed, who immediately rushed to the scene. Upon arriving at the bank, the ER team and police learned that the victim’s attorney had arrived at the bank, interrogated the phony ER officer, and asked for their IDs.
Thereafter, the fake emergency room worker, fearful of being caught, fled before the bank manager could close the bank door. During the interrogation of the victim, it was discovered that 7 people came to his home in 2 vehicles last night, pretending to be emergency room personnel and started the attack. Some of them wore masks on their faces to hide their identities. 3 people talking without wearing masks.
The defendant asked the victim why she kept withdrawing cash from her bank account. He also showed the victim some checks from his old bank account. Fake Education Department officials threatened him with arrest if he did not pay crores of rupees. The victim said the money could not be withdrawn from the bank until the next morning. So the fake ER officer stayed at the victim’s home all night.
The next day, they took the victim to Kotak Mahindra Bank in Hauz Khas to withdraw money. However, the victim informed his lawyer of the incident via text message. After receiving the information, the victims’ lawyers arrived at the bank and asked the fake Education Bureau officials about the reason for the raid and their ID cards. As a result, the fake ER personnel suspects they have been caught and flees the scene.
It was revealed that the fake emergency room personnel who were at the victim’s home also got out of the car and ran away when the door was closed. Delhi Police immediately recorded the victim’s statement and registered an FIR. The car used by the suspects to attack the victim’s home has been confiscated. They are also under investigation.
