National Conference president Farooq Abdullah said the central government should restore statehood to Jammu and Kashmir as soon as possible as this will solve most of our problems. Abdullah said this after offering puja at Gurudwara Sahib in Chand Nagar on the occasion of 555th Prakash Purb of Guru Nanak Dev , one day Sikhs will not only play a role in the government but also in the legislative assembly so that they can improve their status. Effectively solves problems and is able to resolve them.
Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Chaudhary and Cabinet Minister Javed Rana were also present along with Farooq. On this holy day, the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir said that our Sikh brothers should make a strong demand for improvement in our situation and free us from the rule of bureaucracy.
Farooq said administration cannot be done through bureaucracy. He said officials in the past did not listen to the people’s opinions, but now people have high expectations of ministers. Expect them to address their concerns and make good decisions.
Abdullah remembers his previous term
Recalling his previous tenure as chief minister, Abdullah said, “When I returned as chief minister in 1996, my first priority was to ensure your representation because you should have your voice heard.”
