All parents in the world name their children with great love. People give their children such names for their children’s bright future, and these names have special meanings. But recently a case was exposed in Brazil, where a couple took the matter to court when naming their newborn child. The situation developed to such a point that the court cancelled the child’s name. The court questioned the couple, will you ruin the child’s life?

Here, a couple named Catarina and Danillo Primola gave birth to a son and named him Piye. This is a historical figure who was Egypt’s first black pharaoh. Piye also ruled Egypt for 30 years and helped establish the 25th Dynasty.

But the court stepped in and expressed concern that the child might be bullied throughout his life because of his unusual name. Putting aside the cultural significance of the child’s name, the court ruled that no matter what happened, the child should not face such problems in the future.

The boy’s father, Danilo Primola, told the Daily Mail: “Pierre was discussed in court and the Black Pharaoh was also mentioned. “But before naming our son, we did research and we learned that Piierre was a Nubian warrior who fought against Egypt and won, becoming the first Black Pharaoh.

According to the couple, they decided to name their son in honor of Pierre because it was important to maintain a connection to their African roots. “Restoring African names is a powerful way to tell new stories about black history,” said Danilo Primola. “We have the power to educate our children with this power, this culture and the way they are represented in their name.”

The court said in its ruling that the pronunciation of Pharaoh’s name is similar to the Portuguese word “pli”, which is a ballet step, according to the news portal. The Minas Gerais state court said that with such a name, the child may face bullying in the future. Danilo Primoola said the court did not allow our child to have this name, but changing the name will not stop the bullying.
