A victim from Kaithwaliya alias Bargadhahi village of Nautanwa tehsil area told that his wife has passed away. Two days ago, Asha worker came to his house and said that a pension scheme has come which is for widowers. But for this scheme a health test will have to be done. In the name of investigation, I was sterilized. A complaint has been lodged with the police in this regard.
Narrating his ordeal, another victim has demanded that strict action be taken against the culprits. He also went to the police station and lodged a complaint. She was not even married yet and the health workers sterilized her.
In this case, District Magistrate Anunay Jha said that a case has come to his notice in which people were sterilized without their knowledge. The Health Department is investigating the matter, action will be taken against whoever is found guilty. At the same time, the CMO said that the decision will be taken on the basis of the facts that will emerge in the investigation. Only then will it be decided who is guilty.
According to the information received, in Nautanwa tehsil of the district, Asha workers and health workers got four people of the same village sterilized by luring them with the promise of pension. Sterilization victims and their families have accused the health department of deceiving them into sterilization. Now the administration has started investigating the matter.
