Encounter of Mangesh Yadav, 8 criminals arrested, looted goods also recovered… These characters of Sultanpur loot case are still absconding

The encounter of Mangesh Yadav, accused in the Sultanpur robbery case, is the center of discussion. Meanwhile, senior UP police officials held a press conference regarding the Mangesh encounter, in which the police clearly said that Mangesh Yadav was present at the spot at the time of the robbery and he had also threatened by waving a gun. Along with this, the police also revealed the names of those criminals who are still out of custody.

At present, these accused are absconding- Furkan alias Gujjar, Arbaaz, Ankit Yadav alias Shekhar, Ajay alias DM Yadav and Anuj Pratap Singh.

A total of 8 miscreants have been arrested so far- Sachin Singh, Pushpendra Singh, Tribhuvan were caught in the encounter on September 3. All three were shot in the leg. Meanwhile, the main accused in the robbery case, Vipin Singh, is lodged in Raebareli jail after surrendering in an old case.

After this, four more people were arrested on September 11. Their names are Durgesh Pratap Singh, Vinay Shukla, Arvind Yadav and Vivek Singh. A large part of the loot was recovered from them.

What was recovered from whom?

According to the police, on September 3, 1 black Super Splendor bike and 5 kg silver jewellery were recovered from Pushpendra, Sachin and Tribhuvan. Apart from this, 12500 rupees cash, one country-made pistol, two live and two empty cartridges were recovered from Sachin. ₹12000 cash, one country-made pistol, one live and empty cartridge were recovered from Tribhuvan. Whereas, 14000 rupees cash and one country-made pistol, 1 live and 2 empty cartridges were recovered from Pushpendra.

After this, the police recovered a Bolero from Durgesh Singh, Vinay Singh, Arvind Yadav and Vivek Singh who were caught on September 11. Jewellery was found with each person. 259 grams of gold jewellery, 1 pistol and 2 cartridges were found with Durgesh. 347 grams of gold jewellery, 1 pistol, 2 cartridges were found with Vinay Shukla. 299 grams of gold jewellery, 1 pistol, 3 cartridges were recovered from Arvind Yadav alias Fauji. Whereas, 510 grams of gold jewellery, 1 pistol, 2 cartridges were recovered from Vivek Singh.

2.25 kg gold and 20 kg silver have been recovered from the accused arrested by the police. The vehicle and weapon used in the crime have also been confiscated. Meanwhile, Bharat ji Saraf, whose shop was robbed, said that he is happy with the working style of the police. All the looted goods have been recovered.

Mangesh Yadav was involved in the robbery

The UP police had released a video of the Sultanpur incident yesterday, which had CCTV footage and photographs along with the names of the criminals. The DGP said that Ankit, Arbaaz, Mangesh Yadav, Anuj Pratap Singh and Furkan entered the shop and carried out the crime. He said that Anuj Pratap Singh was the first to enter the shop wearing a white towel and white shirt. Mangesh, who was killed in the encounter, entered the shop third, wearing a helmet and threatening with a pistol.

Not only this, he also threatened to shoot the people present in the shop if they moved. It is seen in the video that the accused named Furkan arrived wearing a black helmet and carrying a pistol and then along with Ankit Yadav, he was filling the looted goods in a bag.

Meanwhile, on the questions being raised on the Mangesh Yadav encounter, UP DGP Prashant Kumar said that the police department does not work by looking at caste or any other factor. There is sufficient evidence against those who are said to be involved in the Sultanpur incident. He said that Mangesh Yadav was also involved in the Sultanpur robbery. The police has strong evidence of his involvement. The police action is fair and evidence based. The DGP showed CCTV and claimed that Mangesh himself entered the shop and was looting.
