A fierce encounter is going on between security forces and Naxalites in the border area of Dantewada and Bijapur. So far, the soldiers have killed 9 Naxalites. Along with the bodies of the Naxalites, SLR, 303 and 12 bore weapons have also been recovered from the spot.
According to the information of the incident, a joint police team went on a search operation after receiving information about the presence of Maoists in West Bastar Division. During the search at 10:30 am on 3 September 2024, the police party encountered the Naxalites of Company No. 02 of PLGA, after which firing started from both sides.
The firing continues intermittently, and the soldiers are bravely fighting the Naxalites. It is a matter of relief that all the soldiers involved in this operation are safe.
