EMILY PRESCOTT: Lady Lola masters the look of love as she shares a cheeky grin with Dutch model boyfriend Parker Van Noord

Somebody tell Lady Lola Bute that one of the world’s biggest music festivals is going on around her!

The aristocratic beauty seemed far more interested in her Dutch model boyfriend Parker Van Noord yesterday than any of the global stars performing on stage.

The pair were spotted with their arms wrapped around each other, with the heiress rocking a suitably paredback festival look of denim shorts, cowboy boots, leopard-print bikini top and sunglasses.

It was a change of style from last weekend, when the couple celebrated Lady Lola’s 25th birthday at Vogue World in Paris.

There, the model daughter of the late racing driver Johnny Dumfries dazzled in a backless, floor-length dress by Roberto Cavalli.

So much for an eco festival… guests fly into Glasto by jet and helicopter

Virtue-signalling celebrities are nothing new but Glastonbury seems to be taking the organic, ethically sourced biscuit when it comes to climate change hypocrisy.

While may of the festival’s performers are keen to flaunt their eco-friendly credentials, the event has a sizeable carbon footprint – made all the worse by jet-set VIPs travelling to Worthy Farm by helicopter.

My lips are sealed, but…

Which star thought people would believe the pills he was taking were ‘paracetamol’?

His lively turn on the dancefloor suggested it was not so…

The festival is partnered with Greenpeace and organisers say the festival ‘does not endorse or facilitate travel by helicopter, except for operational purposes’. But I can reveal that flying into the festival has never been more popular.

A spokesman for one company running a chopper service to the event, Charter A, tells me: ‘It continues to be a hugely popular way to travel to Glastonbury. We’re always rammed for Glastonbury and fully booked as early as February. It was the same again this year.’

Another company, Air Charter Service, which has two heliports serving the festival, tweeted: ‘We’ve had a high-flying day at #Glastonbury! With a busy day of landings across both our Air Charter Service Heliports, our team has been working hard to ensure your travel experience is unforgettable.’

One local anti-noise group reported 85 flights on Friday alone while a resident living 30 miles from Worthy Farm noted: ‘The helicopters overhead have been relentless today in case anyone’s wondering how green the music industry’s credentials are.’

Meanwhile, the uber-exclusive Newt in Somerset hotel has offered a runway for private planes – a former military base at Henstridge – to its Glastonbury guests for the first time, in addition to its six helipads.

It comes despite musicians trumpeting their own eco-credentials

Coldplay, who performed on the Pyramid Stage last night, have announced they have cut their tour’s carbon footprint by more than 50 per cent. They encourage fans to help power their shows with dynamo bikes and kinetic dance floors.

Fellow headliner Dua Lipa has also been working to make her tours greener with measures such as energy-efficient lighting.

A rock and Rolls arrival

Model Vogue Williams and her husband Spencer Matthews didn’t arrive by helicopter but they did the next best thing – a white Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII.

‘Glasto travel sorted!’ said Vogue on Instagram, and posted this snap of Spencer and a pal with the car.

It comes with a champagne fridge as standard – no use to teetotal Spencer!

Who’s ready for a Mescal mullet?

He started a trend for men wearing jewellery after sporting a neck chain in Normal People. Now Paul Mescal is on a mission to bring back… the mullet.

The news emerged during a talk he gave with fellow actors Andrew Scott and Saoirse Ronan, his co-star in last year’s film Foe.

Saoirse said: ‘I was in a hair and make-up truck and he was like, ‘I think I’m going to get a mullet and I think everyone’s going to love it.’ But I said, ‘That’s a terrible idea.’

But Paul is adamant. ‘It’s coming back,’ he teased.

2am? It’s only just starting!

Cara Delevingne and Anya Taylor-Joy made quite an entrance on Friday afternoon when they were photographed striding most purposefully through Worthy Farm.

And they were still going at 2am, when I spied them in the VIP hospitality area discussing which outfits to wear next as the night was still young. I do hope they recovered enough to watch Coldplay headlining the Pyramid Stage last night.

Headlines to basslines

BBC News is never like this! TV journalist Ros Atkins was pouring with perspiration as he performed his DJ set in a packed and stiflingly hot tent yesterday.

The 50-year-old, right, who first started DJing while a Cambridge student, blasted out drum ’n’ bass bangers, including a remix of the BBC News theme, at the Stonebridge Bar.

Before the gig, Ros said: ‘I wonder how would this look? A BBC journalist at a rave?’

Sweaty is the answer!

The bright cider life…

Country megastar Shania Twain will play the coveted legends slot later today and has been preparing for her Worthy Farm debut by sampling the West Country’s favourite tipple.

And it seems the 54-year-old’s first taste of cider has left her wanting more. The Canadian singer, who says she wants to ride a horse on to the Pyramid Stage, says: ‘I was surprised that it’s as light as it is. I was expecting something tangier and overly sweet.’

Hopefully she’ll stick to her greatest hits and won’t start singing Man, I Feel Like A Cider, instead…

Talk about suffering for your art. The chainmail Florence Pugh had to wear for her role as Princess Irulan in Dune: Part 2 was so heavy she had to take regular naps on set. And the weight wasn’t the only problem.

The 28-year-old told a Glasto audience on Friday: ‘The chainmail was freezing! It was very cold at 5am when I got to work.’

It’s not just tents that campers ditch at the end of the festival. Co-organiser Emily Eavis says staff come across all sorts of unusual items: ‘You find things in trees for months afterwards.

Once there was a bra right at the top a tree. How did someone even manage to get that up there?’

Mia’s dress? It’s very camp

Putting a tent up is always a struggle… and it looks as if Mia Regan has got permanently entangled in hers.

The 21-year-old ex-girlfriend of Romeo Beckham was last week pictured in Paris wearing a Pierre Cardin dress that looks more robust than many Glasto-goers’ accommodation.

The model – who was much more dressed down at the festival – is actually well-versed in camping in tough conditions. Last year, she completed a three-day high-altitude trek in Nepal.
