Elon Musk built his microblogging platform X (Twitter) into a super app. Here, the company has added a new job search feature. Users can search for jobs on X just like they do on LinkedIn. Last year, Musk added a “job posting” feature where recruiters (i.e. companies offering jobs) can list themselves. This feature was first introduced in beta. Later, the feature is now rolled out to all users.
X becomes a super app
Since acquiring Twitter (now X) in 2022, Musk has made many changes to Twitter (now X). First of all, it adds many functions, including video calling function, long video sharing, long post, editing, live broadcast, which are available on other social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. Now, Musk is ready to turn LinkedIn’s users toward him by adding a job search feature. However, we have to wait and see how popular this feature will be on X in the future.
How will it work?
Musk added X-Hiring functionality to the beta version of his Weibo platform. This feature is primarily targeted at organizations that are verified on the platform. Through this recruitment and job feature, organizations as well as suitable candidates will be able to find jobs of their choice.
X New work features
This job functionality of X will depend on X-Hiring’s database. Once a company posts a job for any new position through this tool, users will see it in the job search results. To this end, an Application Tracking System (ATS) was added, which provides candidate data to recruiting companies through an XML source.
Users do not need to pay any fees to use the job function on X. However, for X-Hiring, companies will be charged $1,000, which is approximately Rs 82,000 per month. The user will click or tap on the “Jobs” option given in the X application or website to search for jobs. After that, search for the job of your choice using keywords.
