According to India Today, Elon Musk’s Starlink supports the administrative allocation of spectrum, and many companies, including Amazon Kuiper, also support this global process. Elon Musk has opposed the auction of broadband spectrum, saying that satellite spectrum has been nominated by the United Nations agency the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) as shared spectrum and therefore should not be auctioned under this process. He had said that India is also a member of the ITU.
