Ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly elections, Uddhav Thackeray has dealt a heavy blow to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Shiv Sena Shinde faction deputy leader and former MLA Babanrao Gholap has returned home. On Sunday, he once again joined the Shiv Sena Thackeray faction. The event was attended by party president Uddhav Thackeray and Yuva Sena party chief Aditya Thackeray. Thackeray formed Shiv Bandhan and welcomed Gholap into the Shiv Sena Thackeray group.
During the Lok Sabha elections, Baban Rao Gulap resigned from the Shiv Sena Thackeray faction and joined the Sindh faction. But Babanrao Gholap’s son Yogesh Gholap got his candidature from the Shiv Sena Thackeray group from Devlali constituency.
Baban Rao Golap returns home
As soon as the candidate was announced, Babanrao Gholap returned home again. While his father Babanrao Gholap joined the Shiv Sena Shinde faction, Yogesh Gholap belongs to the Shiv Sena Thackeray faction. He was announced as the candidate of the Shiv Sena Thackeray faction, after which Babanrao Gholap entered the Shiv Sena Thackeray faction again.

On the other hand, NCP Sharad Chandra Pawar party announced Fahad Ahmed from Anushakti Nagar as its candidate. Local officials from Sharad Pawar’s party were angry over the ticket being issued to Fahad Ahmed. Anashakti Nagar district Sharad Pawar leader Nilesh Bhosal said he would decide the way forward after talking to the workers. Meanwhile, Nilesh Bhosle issued a statement saying, “None of us should avoid this because our wives are not heroines.”
Fahadh Ahmed is the candidate of Sharad Pawar’s faction in Anushaktinagar and is the daughter of famous actress Swara Bhaskar Bhaskar’s husband. Ahmed on Sunday joined Sharad Chandra Pawar’s NCP from the Samajwadi Party. Ahmed had joined the Samajwadi Party in 2022. Local leaders of Sharad Pawar’s faction are angry over his candidacy.
Nilesh Bhosle objects to offer of ticket to Fahad Ahmed
He said none of the candidates we applied for should be rejected just because our wives were not divas. But we are just key workers. Our backbone is the ordinary workers of the NCP party. Nilesh Bhosale of Sharad Pawar Group said, “Until we talk to all the workers, the workers will not talk to us, they will not give us direction and we will not take any decision.”
