On Monday, the last day of the Maharashtra assembly election campaign, NCP Sharad Pawar faction leader Eknath Khadse announced his retirement from politics. He announced his decision not to stand in any further elections. On this occasion, Kadese also issued a touching statement. Calling his daughter Rohini Khadse to win, he said only God can decide whether I will contest the next elections. For nearly four decades, Khadse has dominated not only the Jalgaon region but also the politics of Maharashtra. There has been a lot of discussion recently about his speech.
In a video shared by his daughter Rohini Khadse on social media, Eknath Khadse said, I was talking to Nathabhau. Parliamentary elections will be held on November 20. Rohini Khadse is the NCP candidate in this election. I will not stand in another election. I have been with you for many years. You have supported me over the years. We helped everyone irrespective of caste and religion.

From Sarpanch of Kothari to Minister of 12 departments
Eknath Khadse and BJP leader Gopinath Munde are the faces of the BJP in the state. Khadse and Gopinath Munde contributed a lot to the growth of the party. Eknath Khadse started his political career as Sarpanch of Kothari village (1987). He never looked back at politics after that. He held various positions such as MLA, Leader of Opposition, Minister in 12 departments. He brought many people to the side of the party. His words stood till Delhi.
Also participated in the election for the post of chief minister.
There was a time when his name was mentioned in the race for the chief minister’s post, but after differences with Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Kadse’s status in the BJP begins to decline. He was constantly accused of second-rate behavior. Hence, he left the BJP in 2020 and joined the NCP.
