He told Vice-Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Singh in a meeting held on October 23 that the University Committee for Prevention of Defacement of Property (UCDDP) was established in August 2018. The Vice-Chancellor constituted the UCPDP Committee as per the guidelines of the Hon’ble Delhi High Court. A relevant notice was issued on October 24. The Vice Chancellor convened a meeting of DUSU candidates on October 24, 2024 and directed the students to take all possible steps to remove distortions. On October 26, the chief electoral officer of DUSU elections deployed a 20-member observation team in each college/department/institution/centre on 10 routes to inspect the filth situation in and around the college. The teams have submitted a report on the cleanup status of waste in colleges/departments/institutions/centres in the afternoon. He personally visited Hansraj College and Lakshmibhai College to inspect the cleanliness of these colleges. All observers said they observed filth being removed in and around the academy.
