According to reports, this incident happened on Thursday night. According to sources, the female crew member was sleeping in her room when at around 1.30 an unknown person entered her room. When the woman opened her eyes, she started screaming. On this the attacker attacked the woman with a clothes hanger and dragged her on the floor.

She was trying to run out of the room. But he was continuously hitting her. Eventually people from nearby rooms came to help and the attacker was caught. The woman was admitted to the hospital.

Air India spokesperson said, we are deeply saddened by this incident. We are in touch with our colleagues and team and are continuously supporting them. Air India is also working with the local police on legal issues. Also contacted the hotel management and asked them to ensure that such incidents do not happen again. The airline said that it is committed to the safety of its crew members and staff members. According to the information, at present the female crew member has returned to India and is being counselled.

At the same time, Congress leader Manish Tiwari has reacted to this incident. He said Air India ‘deliberately put the cabin crew at risk’ by ignoring safety issues.
