Indian -origin doctor Mamtaz Patel has been elected as the 123rd President of the Royal College of Physician (RCP). With 40,000 members worldwide, she will now serve as the leader of the UK medical professional membership organization.
Dr. Patel Since the 16th century, the prestigious position to lead a group of doctors and the first Indo-Asian Muslim President to hold the fifth woman.
He said, “As the President, I will take RCP to be the best organization, which can support our members on every career platform to provide the best possible healthcare for our patients. I will bring a role for more than 20 years of passion, commitment, vision, a values-operated approach and RCP experience.”

- Dr Mumaz PatelA Nephrolologist, a specialist in Manchester, was born to the Indian immigrant parents in Lancashire. He graduated in medicine from the University of Manchester in 1996 and chased his PhD in 2006.
- In 2007, he was hired as a advisor nephrologist by Manchester University Hospitals. After earning FRCP in 2011, he received MSC in Medical Education in 2014 in 2014.
