A major accident occurred in Gujarat on Thursday morning when MMCT double decker train (12932) going from Ahmedabad to Mumbai derailed. This incident happened near Gothangam railway station at around 8:50 am. There was panic among the passengers after this accident. It is fortunate that there is no news of any loss of life or property.

How did this accident happen?
According to the information, this incident happened when the coupler of the train broke. Due to this, coach numbers 07 and 08 of the train got separated from the moving train. However, due to the slow speed of the train, a major accident was averted and no passenger was injured.

Panic among passengers

There was panic among the passengers after this accident near Gothangam station. However, the train crew and railway staff responded quickly and controlled the situation. Railway officials immediately reached the spot and started necessary investigation. According to initial reports, the accident occurred due to a technical fault in the train’s coupler.

Railway officials said that investigation is being done and soon the journey will be started by connecting the alternative coupler.
