Punjab PPP leader Manpreet Singh Badal has made a major statement on the Red Fort violence.
The political situation has heated up over the Punjab Assembly by-elections. Political parties have begun campaigning vigorously. If there is a seat that is the most discussed in the by-election, it is the Jeddah Baha seat. There’s a triangular race going on here. In this seat, the Congress party fielded Ludhiana MP Amrita Waring, wife of Punjab President Raja Waring, the Aam Aadmi party fielded Dimpi Dhillon and the Bharatiya Janata Party fielded former minister Manpu Rat Singh Badal as candidate.
Manpreet Singh Badal’s remarks during the election campaign once again reminded Punjab of the farmers’ movement. Talking to the media, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Manpreet Singh Badal said that when he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he lowered his head and said that he always kept Punjab in his mind. Bharatiya Janata Party leader Amit Malviya also shared his video.

“Order not to fire on farmers”
Talking about the farmers’ movement, Manpreet Singh Badal further said that when the farmers lowered the tricolor and hoisted the Nishan Sahib on the Red Fort. The then Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Union Home Minister Amit Shah and told him not to shoot on sight as there was no difference between the tricolor and the Nishan Sahib.
He further claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi told Amit Shah that Nishan Sahib is also ours. If the bullet goes out, there will be a shame on my forehead. Therefore, the farmers scaling the Red Fort should not be fired upon.
Punjabis apologize to Congress
Manpreet Badal claimed that the Prime Minister told him that the Congress had placed tanks at Darbar Sahib but the people of Punjab forgave them. We have done nothing and we don’t know what the Punjabis say about us? Two year old was handed shoes and forced to beat my poster.
