Former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Tuesday he will meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to the United States next week.

Trump announced the meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a campaign event in Michigan while speaking about U.S. trade with India, according to Reuters. However, he did not reveal any information on where the two leaders would meet.

Prime Minister Modi will pay a three-day visit to the US from September 21 to attend the annual Quad summit. During this period, he will also address the UN General Assembly’s “Future Summit”.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the Prime Minister will also address an Indian community rally in New York on September 22 during his visit.

US President Joe Biden will host the fourth Quad Summit in Delaware. In addition to Modi and Biden, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will also attend.
