Using a smartphone without apps is just like using a feature phone. However, we install many such dangerous apps on our smartphones intentionally or unintentionally due to which we can suffer huge losses. In recent years, cybercrime incidents have become more frequent. The main reason for this is that our personal information falls into the hands of cybercriminals. Many apps contain malware that can steal your personal information or even bank details from your smartphone.
According to a recent report, many such loan apps have been removed from the Google Play Store. These loan apps are downloaded by millions of users either intentionally or unintentionally. These apps on the Google Play Store are stealing users’ personal information such as name, address, phone number, bank details, etc. Apart from this, malware has also been found in many photo editing apps and hackers are using these apps to trick people.
Delete these apps now
If you have any third-party apps installed on your phone, delete them immediately. Third-party apps bypass Google Play Store security, so your sensitive information can be accessed by hackers. Third-party apps are apps that you didn’t download from the Google Play Store. Users download these apps from any website, APK link, WhatsApp or message link.
To install such apps in your phone, the feature of installing apps from unknown sources must be enabled. Many users mistakenly enable this feature so that they can download apps of their choice on their phones. In this case, one of the protective shields on the phone is breached and the phone is at risk of being hacked.
Don’t make this mistake
Many companies get your personal information like Aadhar card, PAN card, address and other details in the name of instant loan. Even if it is a mistake, do not install such instant loan apps in your phone. Your personal information can fall into the hands of hackers this way.
In addition to this, do not grant microphone, photo, file, text message, location, call, etc. permissions to any application on your phone. By doing this, these apps even keep stealing your personal information in the background and passing it on to hackers. This way you can be scammed.
