Dr. Swaanprakash Swamy
The Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple in Delhi celebrated Diwali with grandeur on Thursday. The event attracted many believers from home and abroad. On the day before Diwali, special worship of Lord Hanuman was performed on the day of Chaturdash in the presence of the most revered Swayam Prakash Swami (Doctor Swami) . It is believed that on this day people worship Lord Hanuman and Makali and pray to remove negative energies.
Inspired by Guru Mahant Swami Maharaj, special worship of Hanuman Ji is done at Akshardham with the recitation of Hanuman Chalisa. Senior Sadhguru Sri Puja Dr Swami, who was present on the occasion, asked all Hari devotees to draw inspiration from the life of Hanumanji.
Worship Goddess Saraswati and Lakshmiji
On the occasion of Diwali, Bahipujan is held from 10 am to 12 pm. A large number of Hari devotees and their bharats participated in the worship ceremony held at the temple auditorium. On this occasion, saints recite Vedic mantras and worship Goddess Saraswati and the auspicious goddess, and the entire atmosphere becomes pious.

The festival was first held in 2005
In 2005, Diwali and Annakoot were celebrated for the first time at Delhi’s Akshardham and Pramukh Swami Maharaj was present at the celebrations. Since then, it has continued to inspire people and lit the lamp of sacred qualities such as religion, piety, knowledge, renunciation, etc. in their hearts.
Temple decorated with flowers and arches
On the occasion, the temple is decorated with various flowers and arches and devotees, especially male and female volunteers, make special contributions. Preparations for it began about two weeks ago. Volunteers illuminated the entire temple complex with lights. All Hari devotees who participate in this festival enjoy this festival very much.
