October 12, 2024: Actor-filmmaker Divya Khosla Kumar has launched a scathing attack on Alia Bhatt, accusing the actress of inflating the box office numbers of her latest film, Jigra. Directed by Vasan Bala and co-produced by Karan Johar and Alia, the action-packed prison escape drama released last Friday to rave reviews. However, Khosla Kumar claims that reported earnings do not reflect audience interest.

Divya took to Instagram to share a screenshot purportedly of an empty cinema where the screening was taking place Jigra and criticized film producers for allegedly manipulating ticket sales to boost box office numbers.
