A lot changed in Bangladesh on August 5. After the campaign against discrimination began, Sheikh Hasina’s government withdrew. Since then, the establishment of the provisional government has given strength to fundamentalist forces. Muslim fundamentalist groups in Bangladesh, which felt powerful in the interim government, continued to target minority Hindus.
The period of violence may have stopped, but now Hindu minorities are being kicked out of government jobs or forced to resign.
Professors are accepting resignations
Hindu teachers and professors at various universities and large educational institutions in Bangladesh have been forced to resign. Since the collapse of Sheikh Hasina’s government on August 5, Hindus have been forced to resign from government posts. The latest case is the forced resignation of Rontu Das, an assistant professor in the history department of Chittagong University in Bangladesh.

Hindu teacher’s letter goes viral
The Hindu teacher’s resignation went viral on social media, with him writing: “I am resigning from my post.” Prior to this, Hindu teachers in reputed educational institutions in many parts of Bangladesh were either fired or removed from their posts. Many times, some teachers have been asked to resign due to accusations of blasphemy or pressure placed on them for comments they made on social media.
The matter is not just about teachers, the jobs of Hindu cadets undergoing training at the police academy for the post of sub-inspector are also at risk. Recently, 252 sub-inspectors who completed their training at Sharda Police Academy were dismissed due to indiscipline and irregularities. Of these, 91 were Hindu policemen. All these appointments were initiated during the Sheikh Hasina government.
Cancelled until the end of the parade
The graduation parade of over 60 ASP rank police officers of Sharda Police Academy on October 20 was also cancelled. This means that even these high-ranking officials will not currently receive government appointments. When talking about the expulsion of 91 trainees, Hindu trainee Asit wrote, “Oh God! I have been discriminated against in Bangladesh without any discrimination. I can only say that God will judge and history will judge history.” “It has been said that the Creator has never forgiven anyone.

A climate of hatred against Hindus is developing in Bangladesh, resulting in them losing their positions and government jobs. Militant groups claim that people close to the Awami League have been recruited into government posts in Sheikh Hasina’s government and now after the change of government, Indians in all these places have been removed or removed from their posts. The Hindu groups said fundamentalist groups were targeting Hindus who could either be expelled from all government jobs.
Love trap campaign targeting Hindus
The problem is not just about government jobs but also about a love trap campaign targeting Hindus. Just as some groups in India have launched a campaign against Muslims, accusing them of engaging in love jihad, Muslim fundamentalist groups in Bangladesh have launched a love trap campaign against Hindus. In many parts of Bangladesh, some groups have put up posters against Hindus and claimed that Hindu boys lure Muslim women into love traps and convert them.
The attack took place during Durga Puja
In the posts, the organization asked women in the Muslim community to be vigilant. The same Hindu organization claims that women in Hindu society are becoming victims of love jihad, but Muslim fundamentalist organizations in Bangladesh call Hindus fanatical Hindus and accuse them of falling into love traps.
Recently, during the Durga Puja festival, attacks on Hindu goddess statues have been reported in many places in Bangladesh. Since then, police and Bangladesh police have been deployed in many places to ensure that the festival can be spent peacefully. Militant groups went on the offensive outright after learning the secrets of Bangladesh’s previous government.
