Delta Air Lines has updated its dress code for flight attendants, drawing criticism for including specific rules about underwear. In recently released documents, Delta has added a specific requirement regarding underwear, stating that “underwear must be worn modestly” but not exposed during interviews.

It is worth noting that during the interview process, flight attendants will receive the “underwear” regulations, Daily Mail report.

The guidelines released by Delta cover a wide range of standards from grooming and hygiene to dress code.

For example, candidates are asked to maintain personal cleanliness, paying special attention to their hair and nails.

– Hair: Should be of natural tone and not overly highlighted. Hair longer than shoulder length must be tied in a ponytail or bun away from the face.

– Nails: Must be clean, neat, neatly trimmed and with no chipped nail polish. No bright or multi-colored nails or nail art is permitted.

– Tattoos and piercings: Visible tattoos must be covered and no other facial piercings are permitted except for nose studs.

Delta also requires potential applicants to wear appropriate clothing and maintain a professional appearance.

The memorandum details specific demands, including:

– Dresses and skirts: must be at or below the knee.

– Shoes: Closed-toe shoes are required, and sneakers are not allowed.

– Jewelry: A maximum of two earrings may be worn in each ear and the earrings must be small studs made of approved material.
