It is time for the monsoon to leave but the rain is not stopping. The country’s capital Delhi has also been witnessing drizzle and light rain every day for the last one week. This weather pattern will continue today (September 10) as well. After this, the rain is likely to intensify. Let us know how long the rain is going to last in Delhi.

Delhi’s temperature drops

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, between September 11 and 13, Delhi will have partly cloudy sky, moderate winds and intermittent rain is expected. Due to these conditions, the weather will be pleasant and most of the temperature may drop to around 30 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the minimum temperature will remain in the mid-20 degrees Celsius. From September 14, the rain will once again decrease and will be the lowest between September 15 and 17.

How are the seasonal activities?

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, a deep depression has formed over the Bay of Bengal, which is over the sea but will gradually come closer to the coast. After this, this weather system will move over land and pass through the central parts of the country. This will once again bring the monsoon trough closer to Delhi, in fact, at lower levels (between 3,000 to 5,000 feet) the trough will pass through Delhi. This will increase the spread and intensity of rain.

As soon as this pressure will cross the coast and move towards the interior of the land, it will then pass through the areas of Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. This weather system will reach near south-western Uttar Pradesh and North Madhya Pradesh after today, September 10. This will be the time when the monsoon trough will be closest to Delhi. This system will stay in this region for a long time, due to which Delhi and NCR will see moderate rain and thundershowers between September 11 and 13.
