Police have arrested three persons in Delhi for allegedly swindling Rs 85 lakh through forged conspiracy documents. These defendants defrauded others by preparing false land documents.
The arrested accused were identified as Madan Mohan Sharma (61), Deepak (40) and Anil Kumar (46), the news agency reported age). The matter came to light after an FIR was lodged at Sarojini Nagar police station on July 15, 2023.
Produced false land deeds
Surendra Choudhary, deputy commissioner of south-west zone, said the complaint was lodged by the deputy registrar alleging fraud by using false documents.
According to the DCP, “During the course of investigation, a fake conspiracy deed prepared in the name of Sanjay Mathur was discovered. When Mathur reached the sub-registrar’s office to register the plot on the basis of this document, it was discovered that The document is fake.
Scammed by pretending to be DDA employee
Mathur told Anil Kumar and Deepak and Madan Mohan and Pradeep hatched a criminal conspiracy. The men introduced themselves as employees of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and told Mathur that they could provide them with a DDA plot. In return, he took Rs 85 lakh from them.
Police arrested Anil Kumar, Madan Mohan and Deepak in connection with the scam and are searching for the fourth accused Pradeep ). During interrogation, Anil Kumar revealed that he had identified abandoned plots of DDA and prepared false documents for them. He used to gain the trust of potential buyers by posing as a DDA employee. The police are currently investigating the matter further.
