Delhi riots accuser Omar Khalid got a big relief as a Kakadooma court on Wednesday granted interim bail to him. Umar Khalid sought interim bail for 10 days to attend his cousin’s wedding. A Karkardooma court has granted seven-day interim bail to Umar Khalid, who is accused of hatching a major conspiracy behind the February 2020 Delhi riots.

A Karkardooma court has granted interim bail to Umar Khalid to attend his cousin’s wedding between December 28 and January 3. Omar Khalid has been in prison for the past four years. Khalid was accused of conspiracy in the Delhi riots. Thereafter, a case was registered against him under UAPA. The Delhi riots have left 53 people dead and more than 700 injured.

Many shops and houses were burned down during these riots.
