Opposition leader in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi was accused of getting into a scuffle with MPs inside the Parliament building on Thursday. Two BJP MPs Pratap Chandra Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput were injured in the incident. Both lawmakers have been hospitalized. Following the incident, the BJP leader lodged a complaint against Rahul Gandhi with the Parliament Police. Now, the Delhi Police has registered an FIR against Rahul Gandhi based on the complaint.

According to sources, the Delhi Police will not register a case against Rahul Gandhi for attempted murder under Section 109 of the Indian Penal Code. An FIR is being registered against Rahul Gandhi under BNS sections 117,125, 131,3(5). Section 117 includes a charge of intentionally causing grievous harm, Section 125 a charge of endangering the life or personal safety of another person and Section 131 a charge of using criminal force.
At the same time, Article 3(5) of the BNS means that for group crimes, each member will be considered equally guilty whether or not he directly committed the crime. Collective crime: If multiple people commit a crime together, all persons are guilty of the crime.
