Khalistan supporters in Canada target Brampton Hindu Rashtra temple. During this period, devotees in the temple were beaten and Khalistan flags were displayed. Anger over the incident was extremely high. Relations between the two countries further deteriorated. Meanwhile, members of the Indian Sikh Global Forum strongly protested against the Canadian government in front of the Canadian Embassy in Delhi. A large number of forum members gathered together and started walking towards the Canadian Embassy.
A heavy police presence was deployed in response to the demonstrations. To stop forum members, police set up two levels of roadblocks. The angry members broke through the first roadblock and started moving towards the second roadblock, but that’s when Delhi Police prevented them from reaching the Canadian Embassy.

Protesters climb barricades
During this time, members of the Sikh Global Forum in India were seen holding placards in their hands. Everyone chanted slogans against the Canadian government. People broke through the barricades and crawled through. A video of the demonstration has also surfaced, in which one can clearly see how the barricades were lying on the ground. Sardar Tarvinder Singh Marwahmet, chief patron and chairman of the Sikh Global Forum in India, and many others participated in the demonstration.
‘Targeting temples is unfortunate’
During this time, President Jitendra Singh Shanti Shaheed Bhagat Singh Seva Dar said that the attack on the temple was very wrong and unfortunate. He said an entire generation had been destroyed by terrorism. They were either killed or emigrated to other countries. Then they introduced drugs to ruin the lives of our young generation. When they saw Punjab flourishing, they started converting and now a new attack on temples started.

“A true Sikh can never become a Khalistan”
He further said that we are here to tell everyone that true Sikhs can never become Khalistanis and if they want a separate country then they should keep it a secret. We want our tricolor and our country to be respected at all times. Later, the Sikh Global Forum in India concluded the demonstrations with a memorandum.
