Mobile Snatching with Russian Embassy ​​Female Employee: A female employee of the Russian Embassy near the Red Fort in Delhi became a victim of a snatcher. The Russian woman was taking pictures near the Red Fort, when suddenly a man snatched her mobile phone and ran away. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police swung into action and registered a case.

Giving information in this case on Tuesday, a Delhi Police official told PTI that the snatching incident took place when a woman employee of the Russian Embassy was taking photographs near the cemetery behind the Red Fort at around 4.30 pm on Saturday evening.

Immediately after this incident happened with the Russian woman, the foreign woman reached Kashmiri Gate police station. The police officer said that the Russian woman did not give any statement there, but said that she would send an email to the police about the incident.

Police said that they have taken cognizance of the matter and registered an FIR under Section 304 (2)/3/5 (snatching) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Kashmiri Gate police station. When the police scanned the footage of CCTV cameras installed around the crime scene, a suspect was identified.

The Delhi Police officer further said that teams have been formed to trace and arrest the criminal who committed this crime with the foreign woman. The accused will be arrested soon.
