Bagalkot city is located in the state of Karnataka. AQI 42 was recorded here. The air quality index in Vijayapura was 37 on Monday. Shivamogga recorded 47 cases and Bagalkot 42 cases. While the AQI of Udupi is 42. If the AQI is between 0-50, it is considered good, 51-100 is considered moderate, 101-150 is considered sensitive, 201-300 is considered poor, and 301-400 is considered very poor. If the AQI is higher than this value, the air quality is considered to be in the hazardous category.

6 Tamil Nadu cities with clean air

Kanchipuram has the best air in Tamil Nadu. The air quality here on Monday was recorded at 16. Apart from this, the AQI was 36 in Coimbatore, 27 in Madurai, 41 in Ramanathapuram, 40 in Thuthukudi and 44 in Thanjavur.

Why is the air in these 16 cities so pure?

The main reason for the clean air in these 16 cities is the abundance of trees and plants. The city of Aizawl in Mizoram is nestled amidst mountains. There are plenty of lush green trees, rivers and lakes. That’s why the AQI here is below 50. This is also the reason why 11 cities in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have good air quality.

How is the situation in Delhi?

Air quality was recorded in hazardous category in 32 areas of Delhi on Monday morning. Nehru Nagar recorded an AQI of 494. While the AQI of Punjab Bagh is 493. The AQI was 491 at Rohini, 494 at IGI Airport and 495 at Major Dhyan Chand Stadium. The government has implemented GRAP-4 regarding rising pollution. Under this, many restrictions have been implemented in the capital. Except for classes 10th to 12th, the government has directed all other classes to be conducted in online mode. No truck entry is allowed in Delhi except LNG/CNG/BS-VI diesel/electric trucks.
