Dehradun: Dead bodies of a man and a woman found in a parked car, AC gas believed to be the cause of death

A case has come to light in the capital Dehradun where two people died due to AC gas and temperature inside the car. The incident took place in Rajpur area of ​​Dehradun. Police received information through the control room that a Wagon R is parked on Nagal Wali Road in Dehradun, in which a woman and a man are lying unconscious. As soon as the information was received, Doon Police immediately reached the spot and started investigation.

Two people were found lying dead in a Maruti van on Nagal road behind Sahastradhara helipad in Dehradun. A police team including Thana Prashad Rajpur reached there and started investigation. Initial information revealed that both of them used to consume alcohol often. The ignition of the car was on at the time of the incident. Probably the death happened due to the AC of the car being on continuously at night, the effect of gas and temperature. Police has taken both the bodies in its custody and sent them for post-mortem.

Rajpur incharge PD Bhatt said that the forensic team inspected the crime scene and the team did not find any suspicious object or evidence from the crime scene. The situation will become clear after the postmortem report comes. The police is collecting information from the people around the case.

The family did not express any doubt

The police issued a statement saying, ‘Today, on 26 August 2024, the Rajpur police station received information through the control room that a Maruti van is parked on the Nagal road behind the Sahastradhara helipad, in which a woman and a man are lying unconscious. On the said information, the police station in-charge Rajpur immediately reached the spot with the police force, then a Wagon R taxi was found parked on the roadside on the Nagal road behind the Sahastradhara helipad.’

The statement said, ‘The deceased have been identified as Rajesh Sahu (50 years) and a woman Maheshwari (about 45 years). The primary information of the incident revealed that the vehicle belonged to the deceased Rajesh Sahu. Both Rajesh Sahu and Maheshwari Devi were residents of Kanth Bangla police station Rajpur area. Maheshwari Devi is a widow. The family members of both have also not expressed any doubt regarding the incident so far.’
