Defense Minister Rajnath Singh

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju have left for a two-day visit to Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. According to sources, on October 31, the leaders of the two countries will celebrate Diwali with soldiers deployed on the China-India border. This is the first visit between India and China after the disengagement agreement in Ladakh. According to the agreement, the two countries will re-introduce old patrol methods along the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh.

The Tawang region on the Yangtze River is a major center of tension between the two countries. Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Jovanna Main will welcome the Indian Air Force to the Uttarakhand War Memorial Car Rally in Tawang on October 30. The visit of the Minister of Defense is to boost the morale of the soldiers defending the border.

Singh stressed on strengthening national security and promoting indigenous production of defense equipment. He also visited the headquarters of the 4th Army in Tezpur, Assam, to understand the combat readiness of the troops.
