Protests are continuing across the country against the rape-murder case of a doctor in Kolkata. Meanwhile, on Sunday, CBI, which is investigating the case, conducted a psychological test of accused Sanjay Roy. A team of experts from Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) had reached Kolkata a day earlier for this test. Through this test, it will be known what was the mentality of accused Sanjay regarding this heinous crime. The CBI team will try to find out the mental condition of the accused.
Former principal interrogated for third day
Meanwhile, the CBI team will interrogate Sandeep Ghosh, former principal of RG Kar Hospital, for the third day on Sunday. Let us tell you that on Saturday, CBI had interrogated the former principal of the hospital in this regard for about 13 hours. In view of the attack on the hospital by the mob late last night, the police have imposed section 163 of BNS around the hospital to maintain law and order.
Junior doctors’ strike continues
Health services remained affected across West Bengal for the tenth consecutive day on Sunday. Junior doctors of government hospitals kept their work closed. Junior doctors say that we are not in favor of influencing health services. We can understand the problems of the patients but our protest is very relevant in this context when an on-duty doctor was raped and murdered. Is this what we expect when we come to work? Our protest will continue until our sister gets justice and the government makes arrangements for complete security for us.
Case registered against TMC MP
On the other hand, a case has been registered against TMC MP and Bengali actress Rachna Banerjee for revealing the identity of the victim. Banerjee had recently posted a video on her social media handle, in which she had mentioned the name of the victim. However, the TMC MP has apologized and deleted this video.
Two more arrested in hospital vandalism case
Two more people have been arrested in the vandalism case that took place at RG Kar Hospital late on the night of 14th August. So far, a total of 32 people have been arrested in this case. Let us tell you that late on the night of 14th August, a huge crowd had gathered outside RG Kar Hospital. People were shouting slogans loudly. The policemen were explaining to them. But suddenly the crowd became furious and entered the hospital. The protesters had vandalized the hospital and destroyed the emergency ward.
On the other hand, Kolkata Police has registered FIR in two separate cases. In this, one case is for spreading wrong information and the other is for revealing the identity of the victim. In both these cases, Kolkata Police has sent inquiry notices to two doctors and BJP leader Locket Chatterjee.

Let us tell you that on August 8-9, a female doctor was brutally assaulted in the seminar hall of RG Kar Hospital, Kolkata. A graduate resident doctor on duty at the Government RG Kar Medical College and Hospital was allegedly sexually harassed. She was found in an unconscious state in the seminar hall. He was immediately taken to the doctor, but he died during treatment. There were many injury marks on his body.

A video of Nirbhaya’s mother Asha Devi was also revealed, in which she said, ‘It has been more than a week since the incident but till now it is not known whether the girl was assaulted by any one person or her relatives. There has been a gang rape…such a disgusting crime has happened with a doctor when she was on duty in the hospital. When doctors are not safe inside the hospital then what can we think about common women and girls. All the accused should be caught immediately. They should be punished immediately.
