The film ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’, made by director Shawn Levy, was released on July 26. Along with English, it has been released at the box office in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. On Friday, people across the country turned to various theaters to watch the film. This film has made a spectacular opening collection on its first day in India.
According to reports, Reynolds and Jackman’s film has made an opening collection of Rs 22.3 crore at the Indian box office across all languages. It earned Rs 11.9 crore in English, Rs 8.1 crore in Hindi, Rs 1.2 crore in Telugu and Rs 1.1 crore in Tamil. Many viewers had come to watch the movie in English language on Friday. Their occupancy in theaters was 33.32 percent.
With this, ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ has become the sixth film to have the biggest opening in India. Before this film, ‘Avengers: Endgame’ (53.10 crores), ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ (40 crores), ‘Spiderman: No Way Home’ (32.67 crores), ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ (31.30 crores) and ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ comes next.
Big expectations are being made about the film
According to Reuters report, the film had earned $38.5 million i.e. approximately Rs 322 crore from its first screening at the US and Canada box office. According to the opening collection, ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ is at number 8 among the highest grossing films of all time. This film is ranked above ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ and ‘Avengers: Infinity War’.
It is expected that by Sunday, ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ will become the biggest opening film of 2024 at the domestic box office. ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ is the first R-rated film produced by Disney. Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin and other stars have worked in it. Jackman has returned to the screen in his Wolverine role after years, due to which the fans are very happy.
