Deadly race for a job in Jharkhand… Line started at 5 am, race at 11 am, death due to falling while running

Physical test is being conducted for recruitment of constable in Jharkhand Police. For which the race is being organized in different districts. At the same time, there is a stir after the death of 11 candidates during the race. One of the two brothers living in Bihar lost his life in this race. The younger brother is in shock due to the death of the elder brother and he has told the painful story of the whole matter.

Two brothers from Gangra village of Gidhaur block of Jamui district of Bihar went to Giridih in Jharkhand on 27th August to participate in the excise constable recruitment race. The race was to be held on 28th August. The time for the race was 5 am. All the candidates were lined up from 5 am. But the race started at 11 am. Due to the scorching heat, Govind Kumar of Gangra village and many other candidates fainted during the race.

The younger brother had left the ground after running for two rounds

Due to the heat, younger brother Nirmit left the ground after two rounds and elder brother Govind continued running in his passion to get a job. Younger brother Nirmit came out of the race and was waiting for his brother. Then he got the information that about two dozen candidates fainted and fell down. Due to the critical condition, Govind was first admitted to the hospital in Giridih for primary treatment. Then at eight o’clock in the night he was referred to Dhanbad.

Seeing Govind’s critical condition in Dhanbad too, he was asked to be taken to RIMS Ranchi. But even after waiting for two hours in Ranchi’s RIMS, Govind was not admitted and Govind died. After Govind’s death, the family is crying inconsolably. The grief of the departure of the only earning son of the family is haunting not only his family members but the entire village. Govind was working as a sanitation worker in Gangra Panchayat itself.

The family demanded compensation from the government

Govind’s father became very emotional while talking to Aaj Tak. Govind’s father and younger son Nirmit say that Govind died due to the government’s negligence. Therefore, the government should take responsibility for Govind’s death. For this, the government should give compensation as well as a job to one member of the family.
