Deadline passed, Pooja Khedkar did not return to the academy, investigation into parents’ claim of divorce also started

The controversy related to Maharashtra cadre trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar is not stopping. The controversy over getting selection through fake documents was going on when news came that Pooja Khedkar did not reach Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) located in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand on Tuesday also. Pooja Khedkar was given time till Tuesday to report to LBSNAA. Sources have informed that Pooja Khedkar has not returned to the academy and has not even given any official letter.

Pune Police will also investigate the divorce case of parents

Here, when Pune Police tried to contact Pooja Khedkar, they too did not get any information about Pooja. Pooja Khedkar had told in mock interviews given to different academies that her parents were separated. In some interviews he had said that he was divorced. On this basis he also claimed eligible OBC certificate. However, there was no mention of divorce in the affidavit given by Pooja’s father at the time of contesting the Lok Sabha elections.

Joint Police Commissioner Ranjan Kumar Sharma said that the police will investigate this entire matter. He said that this action will be initiated after receiving instructions in this regard from Delhi. Sharma told India Today that the Maharashtra government has asked to inquire about the condition of Pooja Khedkar’s parents. We are investigating further. The official said that Pooja’s father Dilip Khedkar had declared his assets of around Rs 40 crore during the elections.

UPSC had lodged an FIR

Let us tell you that after Pooja got embroiled in controversies, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) had lodged an FIR against Pooja Khedkar. Apart from this, a show cause notice was issued as to why his candidature should not be canceled from the Civil Services Examination 2022 and why he should not be barred from future examinations. A case has been filed against Khedkar under sections of forgery, fraud, IT Act and Disability Act. was recorded.

It was said by UPSC that a detailed investigation has been conducted against Pooja Khedkar. It has come to light that he had violated the rules in the Civil Services Examination 2022. The limit for appearing in his examination had been reached. After this, he gave the UPSC Civil Services Examination by fraudulently changing his identity. He even changed his name, father’s name, mother’s name, photo and signature. Apart from this, mobile number, email ID and address also changed. Due to wrongly creating a new identity, he got the opportunity to appear in the examination more times than the limit.
