DC Ramban visits sensation with flash flood-affected areas, bereaved families

To express grief and sympathy with the families of three deceased persons-an elderly person and two children-and to assess the damage and restoration efforts, Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Besar-ul-Haq Chaudhary today visited the rebellion area and recently visited the villages affected by flash floods and a cloudburst in the district.

He emphasized that the administration stands strongly with the families affected during this difficult time.

DC observed the significant damage for fruit-bearing plants, crops, livestock and infrastructure, especially roads. He directed the officials of the concerned departments to give priority to restore road connectivity to resume the vehicle movement as soon as possible. He directed the authorities to ensure safe, temporary arrangements to influence safe, temporary arrangements for children to prevent disintegration of their education.

To strengthen on-ground monitoring and public service delivery, DC announced that a Naib Tehsildar has been deployed in the area, along with the district-level officer assigned to each affected panchayat. These officials will be on the site to constantly assess compensation, connect with local residents and coordinate immediate relief measures.

In addition, DC directed all departments to submit an evaluation report for compensation related to the loss of agriculture, horticulture, livestock and infrastructure. He also directed the Chief Medical Officer to conduct a comprehensive health check -up of all affected families to prevent health risks.

Exposing a human and active approach, DC Besar-ul-Haq Chaudhary reiterated the administration’s commitment to provide timely relief and rehabilitation to the victims. He assured that necessary approval for the restoration of infrastructure including road and electricity repair would be expedited. He also informed that he would soon visit the remaining affected areas to review the situation personally and address public grievances.
