Superintendent of Police Vrinda Shukla said that three Dalit girls who had gone to the weekly market were molested by Salman and Aslam, who run a meat shop. When the girls and one of her brothers protested against the molestation incident, the accused attacked them with a sharp weapon.
Some people including a Dalit girl were injured in this incident. Police station in-charge Rakesh Kumar Singh has been put on the line for negligence in this case, while local inspector Ashok Kumar and two head constables have been suspended on Tuesday.
SP said that a case was registered against nine accused in connection with this incident. Police had already arrested six named accused on Monday, while three accused were arrested on Tuesday. This matter is being investigated.
