Cyclonic storm Dana rising from the Bay of Bengal is moving rapidly towards Odisha. The devastating storm is expected to hit the Odisha coast at 2 pm in the night. However, along with Odisha, it will also affect seven surrounding states. The meteorological department predicts that Storm Dana will hit at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour.
Storm Dana is likely to bring devastating blow to Odisha and surrounding states. Even before the storm, wind speeds reached 70 kilometers per hour. It is understood that the storm Dana is likely to hit Bhitakarnika National Park and near Dhamra Port in Odisha. The government is also preparing for the storm. One million people have been relocated from 14 districts in Odisha alone. 300 flights were canceled and 552 trains were cancelled. - Storm Dana will make landfall at 2 o’clock in the evening. It could make landfall near Bhitakarnika and Dhamala in Odisha. The meteorological department predicts that the storm will hit at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour. In this case, huge damage can be caused to coastal areas. For this purpose, a control room has been set up and rescue teams such as NDRF, ODRAF etc. have been deployed.
