According to the official notification, the CBSE CTET December 2024 examination, which was scheduled to be held on December 1, 2024, has been postponed and will now be held on December 15, 2024. The decision to postpone the examination has been made due to administrative reasons. However, the board has also said that if the number of candidates is high in any city, then the examination can be conducted on December 14, 2024.
The official notification reads: “This is a continuation of the Office Letter No. F.No.CBSE/CTET/December/2024/E-73233 dated September 13, 2024, which notified that the 20th CTET will be held on December 1. Due to administrative reasons, CTET has been postponed to December 15, 2024 (Sunday). In case of a larger number of candidates in any city, the exam will also be held on December 14, 2024. The online registration process will start from September 17, 2024. The rest of the guidelines will be implemented as per the information bulletin.

Step 2: Click on the “Apply for CTET December 2024” link on the homepage.

Step 5: Pay the exam fee and upload the required documents.

Application Fee
Applicants from the general and OBC categories will have to pay Rs 1,000 for one paper and Rs 1,200 for two papers to apply for the CTET in December 2024. The registration fee for SCs, STs and persons with disabilities is Rs 500 for a single-paper test and Rs 600 for a two-paper test.
Let me tell you that the CTET December 2024 exam will be conducted in 136 cities across the country. The CTET 2024 exam will be conducted for two papers – Paper 1 (for classes 1 to 5) and Paper 2 (for classes 6 to 8). Every year, more than 2 million candidates apply for this qualifying exam. About 2.5 million candidates applied for the July 2024 exam, of which 3.5 million candidates qualified.
