After the Delhi High Court, MCD’s bulldozers, which had come to demolish the illegal construction, were surrounded by a crowd of people and demonstrated by shouting slogans.
A person present at the spot protested against the action of MCD and said that if MCD had to demolish these houses, it would have done so when these houses were being constructed. Where had the administration gone at that time? From here the administration takes away one lakh-two lakh rupees from each loaner. If you want to demolish it, first demolish their house, they first took money from us to build the house here. Where had the police and MCD administration gone at that time? Today they have come to demolish our houses because of some corrupt NGOs. We have been here since the time there was a world here.
At the same time, another person said that 80 percent people pay house tax here and they are harassing us on the other side. We will die but will not leave this place. MCD had issued a public notice and given an ultimatum to the people to vacate the area within three days. MCD had said in the notice that if the order is not complied with, it will be forcibly removed and the money for the action will also be taken from the plot owner.
