The Prime Minister has given his reply in the Lok Sabha
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday hit out at the Congress party while replying to the constitutional discussion in the Lok Sabha. He said Congress was bent on amending the Constitution. Congress amended the Constitution approximately 75 times in 6 years. By amending the Constitution, Congress cut off the wings of the courts, even to the extent of strangling Parliament.
The Prime Minister further said that abusing the Constitution and destroying its soul has become part of the DNA of the Congress party. For us, the sanctity and integrity of the Constitution are of the utmost importance. Whenever we are tested, we discover that we are all people who have come out after asceticism.
Prime Minister proposes 11 resolutions
Apart from this, Prime Minister Modi also introduced 11 resolutions in the Lok Sabha, which mentioned many issues including reservation. While bringing these resolutions to the House for discussion, the Prime Minister also reiterated India’s aspiration to become a developed country. He claimed that the Congress was now promising reservation on religious grounds to please its vote bank. The BJP government also brought in constitutional amendments, but they were for the unity, integrity and bright future of the country.
