BSP chief Mayawati attacked Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement regarding Babasaheb Ambedkar. He asked Amit Shah to withdraw his statement, saying he had hurt the dignity of the Dalit icon. He insulted his followers. He said that the BJP and the Congress were just trying to collect votes from BR Ambedkar’s followers.
He said that our party feels that Amit Shah has insulted Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. He should retract his words soon, otherwise his followers will never be able to forget this, just like they can’t forget the Congress’ misdeeds against BR Ambedkar.

Mayawati said the people of Congress and the BJP should give full respect to Dr Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar instead of earning political bread in his guise. For these parties, whatever gods they have, there is no dissent from the party.
