All India Congress Committee general secretary and former Union minister Sachin Pilot today said the Congress-MNC alliance will get a clear mandate in Jammu and Kashmir in the upcoming assembly elections and his party will be able to form the next government in Jammu and Kashmir with the support of the MNC.

“The public sentiment in India and Jammu and Kashmir has changed due to the anti-poor, anti-youth and anti-farmer policies of the BJP. Also, former All India Chamber of Commerce president Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra played an important role in it. Annoyed with the BJP’s wrong policies in Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcation of such a large and historic state of Jammu and Kashmir into two federations, the people of Jammu and Kashmir have decided to make their stand clear to the BJP,” Pilot said in a press conference this afternoon.
The All India Chamber of Commerce general secretary ridiculed the BJP for peddling pseudo-nationalism to deceive innocent people and said the saffron party’s anti-people policies have been exposed before the masses.

“The BJP’s pseudo-nationalism will not fool the people and the Congress does not need them to teach patriotism and nationalism,” Pilot said.
Accompanied by All India Chamber of Commerce Jammu and Kashmir in-charge Bharatsinh Solanki, Pilot stressed that the Congress party has made rich sacrifices for the country and its commitment to the country’s welfare is unwavering.
He was replying to the question while responding to reports that the BJP was in cahoots with some anti-national forces to grab power in Jammu and Kashmir through proxies.

Accompanied by All India Indian National Congress joint general secretary and in-charge Manoj Yadav, Jammu and Kashmir State Congress Coordination Committee senior vice-president and chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, All India Indian National Congress media coordinator Dolly Sharma and Onika Mehrotra, Pilot also highlighted the Congress-National Conference alliance to provide a strong alternative to the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir.
Pilot pointed out that the BJP has no significant influence in Jammu and Kashmir, especially in the Kashmir Valley.

Pilot criticised the BJP’s track record, saying its true intentions were exposed within 100 days of the formation of the central government. He claimed that after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Congress forced the BJP to withdraw several unconstitutional decisions, including horizontal participation.
He reiterated the Congress’s commitment to granting full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, a long-standing demand of the people of the state. He assured that the Congress would work tirelessly to restore the dignity and rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and would not allow the BJP’s wrong policies to undermine the state’s progress.

“The BJP is clearly at a disadvantage in the upcoming elections in Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana. The political divisiveness of the BJP has been seen through by the BJP and they are losing ground,” he said, adding: “The Union government’s decision to go for ‘one state, one election’ is a naked attempt to centralise power and undermine the democratic process at the state level. It is undemocratic and goes against the federal structure of the country and we strongly oppose it”.
Sachin Pilot pointed out that the voting results in the first phase of the Jammu and Kashmir State Assembly elections were amazing and highly praised the important role played by the Supreme Court of India in ensuring the smooth conduct of the Jammu and Kashmir State Assembly elections.
Pilot believes that the landmark court verdict forces the BJP-led government to hold elections in the region, which has been without an elected government for a decade.
