What happened in Galwan?
In 2020, on the night of June 15th to 16th, Indian and Chinese troops had violent conflicts at the line of actual control in the Galwan Valley. On the Indian side, 20 soldiers, including a commander, died in this conflict. However, China did not give specific information on how many Chinese soldiers were killed. The Indian side said that Chinese soldiers also suffered casualties in the conflict. China later said four Chinese soldiers were killed in Galwan. This is the first time in forty years that the two countries have come face to face in this way.
